Air Bag light on and off?

Guys,

I'm having a weird issue with my airbag light on the console. It comes on and off randomly while driving. I have checked all my connections to the bags and sensors and module and all are firm and secure. The only thing I havn't checked is the clock spring as I don't wanna pull the steering wheel. Could this be the cause and can they go bad with old age? Anything else I can check as I can't pull the code as the SRS system in these cars have to be scanned by the dealer or Tech2? Let me know if anyone has any ideas on what could cause this?

I know the 95' (OBDI) has the SRS separate from the PCM as in OBDII. However, is there anyway (other than going to the dealer) that I can scan this sucker to findout what the fault/code is that is causing the light? I use TunerCat and Datamaster quite a bit, but I know its separate on my car. Any help is much appreciated?

Re: Air Bag light on and off?

I have the SRS light on one of my cars (not an fbody) and it goes out when I'm making a left turn; it stays on otherwise.

I tell you this in order to give something that might help to determine the cause for the fault. I'm fairly certain my issue is the clockspring and perhaps you can determine a pattern in order to diagnose yours. Also, it gives a bump to the top that might bring someone else in who knows more about this. Sorry I can't help anymore than this.
