aftermarket head unit

I installed a new pioneer head unit today and it won't come on. I tested the voltage on both power wires (constant and accessory). To see if I just happened to have bought a bad head unit I tried hooking up my old one and it won't come on either. The strangest thing about all this is my keyless entry stopped working right after I took my old head unit out. I also checked all the fuses in both head units and in the dash. Any thoughts or suggestions would be great.

i think i remember the keyless and radio are on the same circuit, i would double check that fuse in the dash. Did both constant and acc. test? If they did then the fuse is fine. If not you have the wrong wire or more diging. good luck.

if you've still got the Bose speakers they have their own amps associated with them... I had to buy a schoshe (sp?) wiring adapter to let my Pioneer Head unit "run them"... I eventually bagged the wiring adapter and Bose speakers and ran my own speaker wires to new aftermarket speakers.

I'll check the fuses again, but I know both the constant hot and acc. hot had at least 12 volts. As for the speakers the rears are aftermarket 6x9 sony's and the fronts are the original rear speakers. I guess I'll double check everything I've done so far. Thanks for your replies any new ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Turned out to be the courtesy lamps fuse. I wasn't aware the radio and keyless entry were wired in series with the courtesy lamps. Realized last night when I opened the door and none of the lights came on.
