I bought the "ultimate" GM kit from bestbuy had a flat face to it. You will have to modify the back of the mounting area inside of your dash. On my bird I just bent the back peice back till it snapped off. The stereo fit in there perfect.

I used the Metra 99-3300 dash kit to flush mount the Alpine in my '99 TA.
The Metra 99-3009 does the same thing.
There is a small tab in the dash that is used to support the back of the factory HU that you'll need to move to give you the added mounting depth you'll need.
