Possible? Very. I know this for a fact. Been there done that.....myself. Remove the side plastic panels and spare tire/jack and you can squeeze out right around 7 cubes.

back ledge? Are you talking about that flat area directly behind the rear seat? Or actually in the "trunk"? Using only fiberglass, I bet you could squeeze out 4cuft without removing the side paneling.

Well, that changes everything. Never fiberglassed anything around there, so I don't know for sure.... but I could only guess at around 4cuft. Why are you looking to put a sub box there? And lose your rear view abilities.

bah rear view is for ****** :-). I measured it out and i figured if i upfire the box i could get 10 high, 38 wide, and 16 deep. Which is roughly 2.6 cubes

Not trying to sound like a d!ck, but why are you trying to make a box there? Are you just trying to keep your t-top storage? You DO know about subthump don't you?

I built my box for the trunk well in the back. I got 3.95 without really trying. I could squeeze more out of it. It's built out of 3/4 MDF.

I didn't know you did that, when did you do that? Got any pics for I'm wondering how that looked.

I WAS trying to make a box big enough to port a pair of 15"s. I made the fiberglass mold of the whole rear section, but after layering and layering....then realizing that I still have A LOT of work ahead, I scrapped it. It was going to take more time then I had to put into it. So I decided I would just run sealed and don't remove the side paneling. Same idea, just on a smaller scale. Here's a pic of the finished box w/ subs. Those are my old amps. They have since been sold and replaced with new amps and a matching amp rack. Don't have pictures of the entire install yet. Been away from the car for over a month now. But I will soon return and post pics for all to see.

If you never got it finished then how did you know that it was 7 cubes? I take it 7 cubes was an estimate?

The mold was basically the entire box except a MDF top baffle. After the fiberglassed cured, I removed the mold from the car and used a good ol' 5 gallon bucket and started pouring in the water. Did a little math a got a damn good estimate.
