60W/Ch Enough for a Vert?

Looking at a Pioneer GM-6300F 4-channel amp. 60W RMS x 4 (4 ohms) for my T/A vert. I figure this should be plenty??? I ended up with Kicker 6-1/2 components (w/o tweeters) in the sail panels. Stock door speakers for the moment.

No need to thump... blast the neighbors out a mile away... just need to rock a little louder. Sill thinking about small sub options without putting a huge 2x12 cab in the back seat.

Advice appreciated! Thanks!

Thumbs up

IIMO, f you like to crank it up with the top down a lot go with : 100 - 150 watts rms x 4 , and run a component set in the doors so you can mount the tweeters up higher. Remember it takes alot of power to overcome wind noise.

I'd Agree

I have 65X4 and with the T-Tops off I have barely enough

I'd say T-Tops require 85X4 and well then Verts should be substantially higher

I'd say it depends if you have the Bose system or not. My head unit is only 52Wx4, and it gets LOUD. I can easily hear it with both windows down and over the exhaust. I know it's different with a VERT, but IMO that much power with a Bose system should be plenty.
