5 speaker Bose Question
5 speaker Bose Question
I searched, and it doesn't seem that there is a lot of specific info on the 5 speaker Bose stereo. This is what I have gathered:
-There is/are amp(s)
-The speakers or subwoofer or all are at 1ohm
-All five speakers are 6.5"
Please clarify anything above. I still have these questions:
-What is the power rating on the stock subwoofer?
-How are the amp(s) connected? Speaker level or RCA?
-How many amps are there, and which speakers do they run?
-Where are/is the amp(s) located?

The speakers in the doors are amplified by themselves using amps mounted directly behind them, using speaker levels.
The speakers in the rear are the "subs" and dont' produce high frequencies. These are amplified by the amps mounted in the black pod where the final midrange speaker sits. This is in the trunk. I believe the amp for the 5th speaker is in the box as well.
I ripped my hair out for a day straight trying to get my aftermarket kenwood stereo to run these, but apparently there is a special signal that makes the amps turn on and function properly.
Either you go completely aftermarket or go just a deck with an 80 dollar adapter and use the stock speakers.
I have no idea what the ratings are
