5-Channel Amp Question

I'm going to get a 5 channel amp, but I was wondering if I get a 5 channel does that required me to get 3 sets of patch cables? I know I need at least 2 patch cables, so I can adjust for the front and rear. Do I need another set for the sub? Thanks.

Most 5 channels dont have a 3rd set of inputs, but some do, depends on the amp... what are you running?

Well I was planning on powering all four of my speakers plus a 10" sub in a stealth box. But I think I'm just going to go with a 3 channel amp, and power my front two speakers and sub with the amp, and power my rear two with my head unit.

Well theres no 3 channel amps, but a some 4 channel amps will allow you to bridge the rear set of channels and hook them to a sub. You gotta check out the amp specs.

No big deal. If you're not aware I believe they actually have 8 channel amps now.
