I just got a 2000 Camaro with the stock Monsoon head unit, and I began to look into adding an AUX input. I finally came upon the solution of using an adapter such as this one from Crutchfield, however the adapter is no longer available. Does anyone know of a comparable adapter or some other better solution? I’d like to keep the stock unit if possible, however I wouldn’t mind building my own “stereo” unit that would only consist of an AUX input, volume pot, 3 band EQ pots, and possibly some USB ports. Any help with a comparable solution to the adapter would be greatly appreciated.

You can also have an aux in jack wired in to your factory head unit. I haven’t tried this, but if you join the Facebook group “Fbody Nation,” there’s a guy there named JR Rios who I believe does that for people.
