2000 camaro monsoon + aftermarket speakers in the sail panels... will it work?
2000 camaro monsoon + aftermarket speakers in the sail panels... will it work?
Hey the rear panels that go over the spare, and that other spot. I flipped one over and noticed the speaker said 4 ohm...
could I put in a set of aftermarket 6X9s and woudl they sound possibly better/louder?
Just wondering, I have 4 6X9 boustin acoustic speakers laying around, they are pretty nice(think they cost ~$450 new, for all 4), but not interested in redoing my whole car setup.

Re: 2000 camaro monsoon + aftermarket speakers in the sail panels... will it work?
Mounting 6x9 speakers in that flimsy piece of plastic will sound like crap. There isn't enough mass to handle all the vibrations that the speaker will cause. On top of that I don't think there is enough mounting depth for a speaker that big.

And I believe a 2 6x9 4way pioneers.
amazing how relatives give me a bunch of nice free speakers, right when I get a car with a monsoon setup.
