1999 camaro flasher location

none of my turn signals work. i was told that i needed a flasher. i have the flasher. i have removed the plastic above the foot pedals and still can't find the actual flasher. i have look under there for about 30 minutes or more.
i have read that there are 2 seperate flashers one for hazard lights and one for the actual turn signals. that same document i read said that one was about a foot from the steering column.......but i can't find it. could someone please help me?

Re: 1999 camaro flasher location

I couldn't see my flasher either when I replaced mine to convert to sequential turn signals. I had to reach up in the dash and feel around until I found it. As I remember it was clipped to the edge of a plastic trim piece under the dash. I think I was able to see the clip but the actual flasher was on the other side of the piece the clip was on.

Hope that makes sense.

i found out at autozone.com you can check the component location.
it just mentioned that one was mounted on top of the brake pedal.
i found that one, but i am pretty sure that is just for the hazard lights. because when i turn on the hazard lights i can feel the canister getting warm and hear it clicking. i was told that there is separate one for the turn signals.
i am still hunting, where did you find yours, close to the heat/ac or close to the door?
thank for your help, i am still needing help locating this freaking thing.

Mine was located under the steering column.

Yep, under the steering column, on the right side of the column near the console. Little round "drum-like" silver thing, just unplug it, replace it with a new one. You will have to remove the piece of trim that goes along under the dash, and then just look up, near the console. It should be sitting there, mine was easy to find.
