1 sub or 2??!?!

im looking to add a little bass to my stock system. im going to go the stealth box direction. now i was wondering if i should go with just the drivers side with an amp powering that 1 sub, or go with both drivers/pass. side boxes and have the amp power both subs??

so far it looks like im going with the 10" alpine S.

which amp (not expensive) should i buy to run it? im not looking for competition system, just something that will hit pretty hard.

also... got new crutchfield mag. this month and i noticed the 10" alpine type-E subs are on sale 2 for $129. has anyone had experience with these subs? are they even comparable to the S??

any info would be greatly appreciated!! thanks!

If you want to get an Alpine, spend a little more and get the Type R. You will be glad you did.

Also, if you just want to add a little bottom end to your music, one sub will be just fine. Besides, to put one on the passenger side, you have to lose your spare tire.

For the amp, if you are on a budget, I would reccomend US Acoustics. It is generally accepted that US Acoustics are the best of the budget brands.

BTW, don't order from Crutchfield. They are outrageously expensive. Try www.thezeb.com or www.ikesound.com or some other sites that I just can't think of right now. Also, EBay is always a great place to buy car audio equipment.

Good Luck!
