So the Z28 vs. SS war has waged every since the Camaro left the assembly line in 2002. Bitter arguments have taken place, enemies have been made, families have been destroyed, cities have burned and crumbled...



Okay, so it it was never that bad, but it is always a very passionate and heated debate that doesn't seem to end. It seems it was mostly a debate about which should be on top Z28 or SS, there is not typically a situation where someone declared that it should be "Z28 only" or "SS only". Have you ever thought about one OR the other, instead of one AND the other? What would YOU choose if you had to choose only ONE side?

Well, we know that you all feel strongly about this subject, so now we are going to ask you folks to pick ONE side and voice your opinion about it and possibly win a couple of cool prizes! It is really really easy, you just need to pick up the phone and call our voicemail hotline for CamaroZ28.Com Podcast and leave us a message with your thoughts. What will it be? Z28 OR SS? Pick a side, and then pick up the phone and dial 586-486-3182 and lay it on the line for the world to hear...

...but here's the catch...

...you need to back up which side you choose with your reasonings behind it and standard generic "heritage" remarks alone won't cut it this time my friends! You need to back this one up with real reasoning that you feel very strongly about. Either facts or personal reasons or whatever, but as long as you pick Z28 OR SS and back it up with your reasoning, we will air your voicemail then comment on it and then at the end of January we will pick one that we feel was the most deserving and give out some prizes as a reward. It doesn't have to be a masterpiece...just call us, spill it, back it up, hang up and listen to see what we have to say in return and if you are a winner. Nice and easy!

So what do you get out of it? Wow! Most monthly contests don't last that long.

 

Cut me some slack, I typed it in a hurry.

 

The thought of taking SEVERAL THOUSAND of my posts over the past 6 years and condensing them into a 30 second sound bite gives me a headache.

 

That's kinda of the point to this...to weed out all the repetitive stuff and to strip away the "SS should have this" and "Z28 should have that" banter.

If there could only be one (not both...just one), what would it be and why? That's it.

Granted, some of us already know where you stand, but to hear it verbalized puts a while different paint job on things. If you have made several thousand posts on the subject, surely not every single one contradicts the others and you are pretty clear on your opinions. So in light of that, making a one minute phone call should be no problem, right?

 

We got some good submissions that we played in Podcast 71! Check it out if you haven't already.

One thing I want to make clear...this isn't about "top dog"...this is about "ONLY dog". Z28 or SS...pick one....one stays, the other goes...forever. Pick a side and pick up the phone.

 

Now that GM has slapped an SS on almost everything available, It would definitely be Z28.

who cares? SS or Z28 or RS or whatever! i dont care if if its a (please forgive me) GT as long as its a CAMARO its got a V8 option and its rear wheel drive. besides most mustang owners will only see taillights anyways what does it matter what it says on the side
