BAD deal with SS#771

Bought a used PCM from this guy.

http://web.camaross.com/forums/showthread.php?t=485116

Upon receipt installed it in my car and tried to talk to it with tunercat and datamaster and cannot make a connection.

Swapped back to my PCM and it works fine. Swapped back to his, still nothing.

His response, after a number of PMs:

Thats ridiculous I have had no problems with anyone on this board on anything buying or selling. The PCM was sent out IN WORKING CONDITION. BUYER did not ask insurance to be put on item to insure that nothing could go wrong during the shipping process.

PCM's are very tough they just don't break in the shipping process. I've never heard of anyone needing to replace their pcm because they got in a car wreck and it broke it. Also i've had one that was in a car fire and had melted plastic on it when i got it. It still works like a champ, the damn things are just about indestructable unless you screw one up trying to flash it.
steve9899 did you try to start the car with it? does it run with the pcm but it just won't allow you to connect to it?
