If they don't go into cars here then they at least both need to go into GMT900 1500's and GMT355/360's respectively. It would be huge for GM to offer Diesels across there entire line of SUV and pickups.
Merceces E320 CDI gets 27/37 mpg and puts out 369 ft-lbs. of torque (LS1 levels) Would there be a market for a 4.5L Turbo Diesel V8 Camaro with 600ft-lbs. that gets 37mpg?

If not a Camaro, then an Impala or Lambda.

So what are the chances that by the time they get a diesel to pass the Tier 2 bin 5 (which is about the same as CA LEV-2 LEV I think) that California will change the regs to effectively ban diesels again?
