I can't wait to see what engines are offered and what the nose looks like.

that's pretty cool. I hope there will eventually be a civi version. Maybe even one with an LSA!

Aren't they just guessing at this point? I thought GM was leaning towards the LWB version anyway.

LWB was the latest we heard here. In all honesty, I really wouldn't think they would go too far with restyling the car, it's pretty much a rush job with the VF Commodore still a couple of years away... I kinda expect no more than the Chevy treatment given to Mid-East Luminas - body coloured bar with a gold bowtie.

It would really have to be LWB..I think the G8 is too small for a cop car inside.

I can agree with that. I just went out and sat in the back seat of my 96 impala. It is huge compared to anything short of an S-Class Mercedes!

My G8 GT has plenty of rear leg room; More than the wifes' 2006 Impala, and I see plenty of those used as cop cars.

That's the impression I got too, I sampled a G8,front and back and before moving the seat up in the front to a comfortable driving position (I'm 6 ft) I found plenty of leg room in the back. The rear compartment is plenty big.... reminded me of the Chrysler LH cars which had huge back seat areas with more room than my old B-body Impala for sure.
