I think the recent figure I've heard is essentially flat for the past 35 years coupled with a 12% reduction in buying power. In comparison the top tier guys have gotten a 500% increase in wealth in the same time which somewhat offsets that 12% reduction in buying power

ROFLMAO... Given the proclivity of the majoirty of voters in this country and the way the power (payroll deductions) strucuture has evolved over time thats way easier said than done.
