Cool Yet another.....but really nice, 5th gen concept......

I like this guys talent and some of the body lines....especially the side view....the front is a little F&F for me, but there's something there.

I pretty much like that whole car except for a few things, ESPECIALLY that wacky front bumper. (but the GFX are kinda cool) Rims look like a blend of IROC-Z and TT2's.

Things I would change:

-More Third Gen or 1st Gen front.
-Have the taillights cut into the body.

The front....

......facia is the area needing the most work......

I think the large openings under the headlight areas would look much better as flush bodywork with the foglight opening only.

I really like the modern rendition of the 69's sculpted side body lines.....I've been trying to imagine these for a while.....nice job I think.

There may be some nits to pick...but overall it's pretty cool.

The best part about it IMO, is that eventhough it retains some early Camaro cues...there is no doubt that this is a modern design.

Nooooo, this car does not look based entirely on the 1st Gen, as the retro M*stang is.

Best looking concept yet. I wouldn't change a thing. This is NOT a full blown retro design like the new Stang is.

I guess that that's a matter of opinion. But, if we applied the same criteria to this very cool Camaro drawing, as some are to the Mustang concept, you could say:

-Greenhouse/roofline are a complete ripoff of 1st gen.
-Side body cutouts are a complete ripoff of '69 Camaro.
-Front spoiler is a complete ripoff of '85 and up 3rd gen.
-Hood scoop is a complete ripoff of ZL2 hood.
-Muscular shoulder crest on rear quarters, are a complete ripoff from 1st, 2nd and 3rd gen.
-Those 5 spoke wheels are a complete ripoff of all the 5 spoke Z/28 wheels from '70 thru '92.

See, I guess it's all in the way you look at it .

Thumbs up

Not bad!

I'd change that RETRO roof, though.

Exactly, its a mix of 1st-Third Gen Camaros, not just 1 Gen or 1 year.

I cannot believe that I've just spent 10 min staring at this drawing. It's really nice and captures the essence ( I'd say DNA..but that's so overused), of what a modern Camaro should look like.

One thing that I agree with Doug on, is the nose, however.
I hope it has 4 round tail lights.
