An "independant" review.
Funny they didnt mention that these very same brands have quite a few of the top rated, most recommended models as well. Nope...they've got a long way to go to catch up.

Sounds like BS. Notice they don't say why they are rated the way they are.
Um.. hello...the F250 is a large and expensive work truck, not a sports cars and luxury sedan. CR is so stupid.
The F-250 Lariat earned both the "worst value" and "worst safety performance" distinctions from Consumer Reports this year. It received an overall score of just 37 out of 100 points for predicted reliability, fuel economy, depreciation, ride, owner costs, accident avoidance, front-seat comfort, acceleration and owner satisfaction.

Well let's be honest here though, the Aveo, the Colorado/Canyon and the Nitro are some of the worst cars out there. (although I know someone on here will chime in with, "well my Colorado has been great") As a matter of fact, there's almost nothing from Dodge that is noteworthy. And I think anybody who's been in a Escalade lately knows that it might be one of the most overrated cars on the road.
I don't like how they ignore giving specifics for the cars that have been rated well, but I don't have a problem with naming the cars that they did as being pretty crappy.

The Escalade is the only one that I'd question.
If it's that bad, why arent the Tahoe/Avalanche/Suburban/Yukon, etc listed? In fact, those have all gotten decent to good reviews from what I remember a few years back when they came out.
I can't imagine the Cadillac interior blows up the the whole thing.
I can kinda understand the others.

A buddy of mine has an '06 F-250 and that thing has been bullet proof. It's a solid and has a great ride for a HD truck. He's owns a HVAC company and uses the truck daily so... I don't know what the problem is with a work truck that has a nice interior.

While I dont doubt that, its just yet again a blatant bias towards impots.
A more responsible report would have also pointed out that the domestics do have a lot of class leading models as well. Not "they have a long way to go." Thats just feeding people misinformation and furthers the mindset that everything domestic made is inferior.

This is a big nothing really.
Colorado is how old now (with no real changes)?
Aveo is how old now (with no real changes)?
Colorado doesn't have much of a future and the new Aveo is coming soon. These "worst car" lists have often been completely baseless because they continue to degrade big trucks and SUVs for being inefficient (well, duuuuhh!) I actually agree that the Escalade doesn't represent good value when compared to a Tahoe or Suburban, but you're paying for "bling" and name.
I can think of many bad imports (most anything by Scion and the new Honda Insight) but you won't catch CR in agreement with most other magazines on these.

This is probably quite true, but then value of purchase should not be a factor in "worst-made" vehcile lists...
"Worst-made" to me, implies craptacular build, components, etc...

Yup, same goes for fuel economy (I'm sure that is a complaint). You can't have 400HP in a large SUV and expect it to sip fuel like Civic.
