World Scoop!!!!!!!!!

I'll post some pictures later when I have time.

But look very closely at Solstice's suspension. I have for days. Does it look familiar? Does it look like a certain Chevrolet sportscar?

Take the C5/C6....remove the ransverse leaf spring, add coil overs...and voila....Kappa.

Yes! Solstice is riding on a Corvette suspension.

You heard it here first!

You know, someone mentioned that to me some time ago, but I didn't believe them!

All I can say now is:

I saw the similarity too and even made a mental note about it, but never thought that it was actually true.

And if the Kappa cars get that, then there is no reason for the Camaro to have any less.

Making it less than half the price of the Corvette - now, folks, this is a modern-day miracle!

Can't wait.

Now, question, is 4 cylinder the only engine that fits in the bay? Can we put a V-shape engine? If so, then V8 swaps would be very popular.

Now I understand why the car is porkier than originally hoped.

I heard rumors when the concept came out that it would be possible...But that was a long time ago before the platform was made public.

Besides...I would imagine GM would cut weight and size in the engine bay to trim the car down. Similar to what they did with the 4th gen, but even more extreme because of the planned powerplant.

An I4 is it. It won't even fit a V6.

BTW, regarding weight....it will come in at right around 3000lbs....just like Formula79 said. Around 2500lbs or so is where they were hoping it would be.

Yup transverse mounted (from control arm to control arm), both front and rear.
