Why I Don't like Dealers
I think if someone is stupid enough to buy a car for thousands over MSRP, then the dealer should go for it. I also think if someone is stupid enough to get taken by a dealer in the finance office then it's the buyers fault. When I buy a car, I know what I'm gonna buy and how much it is worth. I know what my insurance is going to cost. I also know what my credit looks like and what kind of rate I'm going to get. If I can't get the price I want, then I don't buy. You have to be an informed buyer for such a high investment. If you're lazy and you're not informed, then be ready to be taken.
I liked the "options installed" list:
Power Steering; Power Brakes; Gauge Cluster; Clock; Trip Odometer; Tachometer; Air Conditioning; Interval Wipers; Rear Defroster; Driver Side Airbag; Console; Dual Sport Mirrors; Front Bucket Seats; Center Arm Rest; Inside Hood Release; Passenger Side Airbag;
I thought all cars had these these days

That's still not the worst case of overpricing i've seen...back around '97 I saw a Plymouth Prowler at a dealership in outside Atlanta. The MSRP was like $39,900 as i recall and the 'adjusted market value' was $40,000!!! The funny part was it was sitting next to a Viper RT-10 in the showroom. I wish i had a camera to take a photo of that $79,000 Prowler sitting next to a $77,000 viper...lol. Which one would YOU take given the price??
