thats not enough... Cars ought to get more publicity, expecially when a car like Camaro sets the bar for an automanufacturer's commitment to perfomance. If I didnt buy my firebird I would have got a Tiberon, and woulda thought that was the fastest thing on the plantet... but in accuality it isnt. I dont want to buy the slowest sedan, if I can afford it I'll get a V-Series, but maybe an LT4 Grand Prix. I dont want a lowsy 200 hp camry that cant get the power to the ground...
so now that I'm turned on to GM I wont buy anything else if I can afford what I want. but that only because of word of mouth...

The muscle car lives tran am commerical was the best of them, nothing like some stop light action with tire peelage! Its ironic that the car died soon after .

Does anyone know of a link or something where I could see some of these commericals? I didn't even know that there were this many 4th gen commercials, I was only aware of the muscle car lives one.

Re: Why the big Hush Hush on the Camaro

Actually, most of the 4th gen Camaros dealt with rock n' roll, the only one I recall that didn't, and was GM sponsored (not a local dealership), was the one with the kids identifying cars by their engine sound. However, if you look hard enough, you should be able to find a local dealership one online where a guy thinks he is really cool coming home from work or something.

The Firebird commercials were overall much cooler, they seemed to play more with the coolness and bad-***-ness of the car.

Here, I went ahead and recorded the Camaro commercial with the kids identifying cars by sound for you guys. I'm sorry, but I can't do very good quality with this old digital camera from '97, but it beats nothing.

That was the commercial that killed the Camaro.

It said, "Go ahead, drive it alongside the ocean... this time it can't hurt you. The all-new Chevrolet Camaro. So much plastic, it can't rust.

Chevy: An American Deterioration."

Forget all that!

Use the "Game Over" commercial Holden used when the Monaro 1st came out.

What about the famous slogan, "Camaro; the only thing that will fall apart faster is your driving record"

Re: Why the big Hush Hush on the Camaro

the funny thing is that even though camaros advertising wasnt there. in the end there run (67 to 02) camaro sold about 2 million more cars than firebird.
