Yeah I think Z28 vs. SS is a tired argument, only because there really is nothing else left to say on the subject. I love to talk about what GM is doing right, and what it is doing wrong. It just so seems that some are more caught up in the "what's wrong" part than the "what's right," or what is going to be right anyway....
I'll be interested to see how well enthusiasts embrace the S/C Impala and Monte Carlo.
I think you'll see some fast ones. The GTP guys have developed quite a performance underground with their supercharged 3800s.
Thirteens seem to be no problem. I have a friend who is running 13.00s with just simple ( and I mean simple) bolt ons. We're all waiting to see how long before his transaxle frags.
How long before we see the first Impala SS in the 12s?

I mean this, with all the sincerity I can muster...
There is not ONE single Chevy in the lineup I would buy, at all...period...for the first time in my 23 years on this planet. Every single car listed has a Pontiac derivative that, IMO, is either better looking, faster, a nicer overall car etc. for about the same $$! This isn't even a thought for me...
You can tell how I voted!

Quote of the day:
While there is something cool about watching the front wheels of a '67 Eldorado smoke, the whole FWD performance thing is way overblown. Only your the manager at your local AMCO shop gets any lasting joy out these FWD mods.
However, if someone really feels the need to drag race a FWD GM sedan, they should slap nitrous on an Aurora V8. At least the 4T80-E has some reserve torque capacitiy.

hmmm, the choices for your favorite Chevy car are... Impala, Monte Carlo, Cavalier, Malibu, or none of the above. Well if I pick none of the above than my favorite Chevy car must be a Corvette since that is the only one not listed
In that case I choose none of the above

In that case I choose none of the above
