What's the best interior?
What's the best interior?
What's the best 3 interiors in any vehicle, and why?
Feel free to pick present, past, whatever. As long as it isn't a concept.
My Picks:
1) Lincoln Navigator: Looks classy, and unusually well made.
2) Upcomming GTO (Monaro): Was solid, well designed, and looked like it should be on something more expensive.
3) 1977 Chevrolet Monza Spyder: It was simple, sporty, comfortable, and intimate without being cramped....and it looked sweet in black or red.
Honorable mention: Late 70s Corvette. It had the best looking (if not comfortable) seats ever made: http://www.ghg.net/stuart/corvette/p...r/default.html

I'm in both Audi's and VW's pretty frequently . IMO by far the best interiors period . I've never been in a monaro or gto but by looks it appears to be in the same league as the Audi's . It definately "looks" cool .
The Audi TT and A8 are great, the Nav is very good (but I've got my doubts about the durability of that Satin Nickel paint/e-coat), but come on - you folks ever seen the interior of a Rolls or Bentley? There just is no equal, nor should their be considering the prices involved
The new Maybach also looked very good in person, but for whatever reason it just doesn't have the same oh-my-goodness-this-is-way-too-fancy look that the Brits pull off.
In the "vehicles I can afford" department, I think that the 6th-gen Accord is underrated. It doesn't look fancy, but they use outstanding materials and the attention to detail is amazing.

Ok, here's my picks from the mind of a designer:
in no particular order:
-300Z: great ergonomics and style around the wheel.
-'93-'96 Camaro: lousy plastics but I think a great styled dash (I'm in the minority but I love the 'blister vents')
- if guages count, VW has the prettiest gauge lighting out there, dark blue/purple with bright red needles
-new Porsches

I would say the GTO, with the comfy looking seats to the color guages and the handsome steering wheel make it very accomdating, however only one flaw is the door material, i think it is vinyl, not really sure but that seemed kinda of icky.. maybe from the angle and the lighting I was looking at it in the Reliant Center... Love the shift boot with those red stitches on the aluminum shifter, very chic...
I hope this influence rubs off on GM and the '06 CTS etc. (I don't think it is bad but it isn't very exciting either, maybe if they used some more aluminum trim pieces here and there)

Well let me see, I have a few. I too love the 93-96' Camaro interiors, I know they could be executed better but I really do love them. I really like the current STS and C5 Corvette. The GTO and XLR look really good even though I have not sat in one. I am not a fan of the VW/Audi interiors, not that they aren't nice, just a little bland for my taste. Same goes for BMW. I know there are a few more that are notable, but I can't recall them off the top of my head.
A few more fromthe designer's mindset:
-The new CTS's material is very nice and I really like the pattern, getting away from the faux leather look.
-I like the 'twin pod' design of the latest Grand Am. Kinda reminds me of a modern interpretation of the '67-'68 Camaro dash.
Just shooting off top of my head....
