What are your thoughts on the new Infiniti G35 coupe?

Here are some pictures. What do you think?

I think the overall design is very clean but i dont care for the odd-looking optional rear wing. The base price is around $27,000 which isnt cheap but at least its under $30 grand. The front reminds of a more rounded Caddy CTS.

what are your thoughts on the new Infiniti G35 coupe?

What a great looking car. That's probably one of the best looking coupes on the market now.

It's cool that Nissan sees a market for TWO RWD sub $30K coupes.

I think it looks great! I would take that over a 350Z anyday.

Considering that the g35 coupe gets 260 hp out of a v6 and has rwd and seats 4 I think that this car will be very successful. Since the ifiniti g35 coupe doesnt have the history of the original Z and the hype of the new Nissan 350 Z it should be also easier to get without long waits and dealer gouging.

Heres the official base price of the G35 sedan from Kelly blue book http://kbb.com/kb/ki.dll/kw.kc.ncb?k...03;;;&Cars&&nc

The Coupe will most likely sell for the same price as the sedan.

Thumbs up

A very sharp car (I'd go sans wing). It'll be interesting how Nissan manages the two very similar cars. Without knowing all of differences, the less edgy G35 gets my vote. It's a shame the CTS doesn't look as nice as the G35 coupe/sedan.

It looks pretty clean, though I think the taillights are a little odd. Overall probably not something I'd be too interested in purchasing.

Thumbs down

In typical Japan fashion...the front looks like a watered down CTS ripoff. First Lexus copies Mecedes, now Infinity copies Cadillac.

Here is a picture of the show car version on the G35 from 2000.

I don't think the CTS was shown until 2001. I dont think they ripped the CTS off.

0 to insane,

<-------Back in 1970 is when Al Gore and I invented the internet :-D

I really dont know why it say 1970 since a registered back in 1997.

1970 sure makes me seem old-school considering I wasnt even born yet.

I like it! But it needs dual outlet exhaust like the 350Z. That's my only problem with the looks.

Its the 350Z, no its the skyline, no its the G35... Zarella was big on that and I wanted to punch him in the face for it.

Caddy has a similar theme in their cars, but at least you can tell one from another.

Oh well if they move product my opinion means jack.

it does have dual exhaust. check it out http://g35driver.com/photos/albums/2...3-07-14/24.jpg

I think the rear license plate sits a little to low. The rear bumper looks a little to chubby and if the rear license plate was moved higher it would have helped break up that fat rear bumper.

I'm willing to place $$$ that Nissan had thea design first. I dont necessarily think either of them copied the other. They came up with similar designs. So what?

Strictly on the G35, gimme! I'd love to have one as a daily driver. All the performance of the 350Z with a little bit more refinement.
