What Will the Top Selling Car for 2007 Be?

Now that end of the year is getting close, what will be the best selling car in 2007.

I see Toyota Camrys everywhere, but then again I live about 20 miles from Camry plant in Georgetown, KY so this area is a little more saturated with Camrys than most.

My picks for the top 3 are:
1. Toyota Camry
2. Honda Accord
3. Chevrolet Impala

1. I can't believe the Camry sells as good as it does, its got to be one the ugliest cars on the road. I really don't understand what people see in this car. The new Camry looks like a Darth Vader helmet with undersized wheels. With Toyota's growing quality problems it will be interesting to see if the Camry holds on to the top spot, and/or how much sales have declined since last year.

2. I don't know if the Accord will be in the #2 spot or not since this year is a transtion year with a new model in '08. Usually sales drop off with the anticipation of a new model. I have never cared for Accords either, but they do look better than Camrys, but a bit bland. The new Accord looks like a Hyundia or a Kia.

3. I think Impala was #3 last year, and is only here because of fleet sales. It will be intresting to see if the new Malibu is able to get this high next year.

Given that Impala is/was capped at 250K per year, I doubt it would be first. I never heard if the cap was kept, but I assume it was.

Define, "sold". Lease or outright buy?

Auto sales figures always includes leases. Technically a lease is still a sale, just to the finance company.
