I thought the next Impala was supposed to remind us of 60's Impalas in the same way that the new Camaro reminds us of 60's Camaros. This would just remind me of the Camaro crossed with the Malibu.

I believe that was a concept *photoshopped* version of what Moror Trend thinks the RWD Impala would look like.. It was in a magazine about 5 months ago I think..

 

That's not a photoshop at all, more than likely a very well done Rhino/Alias program 3d model done up by Motor Trend or may just be the new Impala and GM isn't confirming that.

 

Not liking it, whatever it is.

i beleive the ng impala will have a more modern look... probably some sort of combination of the volt/camaro and something retro like the camaro...

the lines must be crisp and modern tho... this photochop is very lazy, very 90's GM mixed with the new cts

 

I don't like it either, yes it was in MT as the new Impy (where exactly is the mid 60s Impalas of yore inspiration in this rendering?). Bowties are backwards..... yes, that's it..... it's a Bizarro Impala

 

I really and truly hope that GM is not betting it's future on an Impala that looks like that.
