What are G8 GXPs selling for now?

Now that Pontiac has been handed its walking papers what are G8 GXP Atomatics going for. Are dealers selling for invoice and incentives on these? Is 35K a resonable asking price with rebates now?

I saw a couple "buy it nows" on Ebay for MSRP. Around 40,000.

Also saw a used one for 35,000. Had like, 3000 miles.

40K is $600 less than MSRP. There must be better deals than that.

You've got to understand something, just because Pontiac is going away does not mean the dealers are facing the same timetable to sell their cars as Chrysler dealers.

The biggest reason being that the vast majority of dealers fall in to the B-P-G fold and dealers can sit on unsold inventory from Pontiac because they are staying open to sell Buick and GMC.

You won't see the fire sales Chrysler dealers are having on Pontiac products.

Edmunds "True Market Value" on a GXP w/6spd/sunroof is $37156 (incl $3000 incentive). I've found their projections fairly accurate when I've made car purchases. They list MSRP as $41655 and invoice as $39772, btw.

The automatic is about 700 less. I had a dealer quote me $36500 for a automatic car with sunroof.

I believe that the dealers that are being closed will have the inventory bought back by GM. I am not sure the dealers have motivations to sell at huge discounts right now.

If it's like the closing Chrysler dealerships, they'll be stuck with their stock.

I would check out G8Board.com. I had read a while back that people were paying between 35-36k, but can't remember if they were using GM card discounts. I would bet by August you'll find them for a good deal less.

ONE Dealer was at 34K plus TT&L the next best dealer was 36.5K for the same car. Today GM annouced Owner loyalty of 1K. SO I picked Up a G* GXP for 33K +TTL. I pick it up tomorrow. This same dealer has a red one they will do for the same Price (34K).

At a little over 1800 G8 GXPs made in 2009 Only I dont think the deals will get any better on the GXP. They will be gone.

I really wouldn't expect much discount on G8 GXPs...

Like the Solstice Targa, I'd say those cars are pretty rare (or will be by the time Pontiac is dismissed)

If anything (given the history of the greedy Pontiac dealers) I'd expect them to tack some sort of bull**** limited edition FEE on the cars or something.
