What are the chances? Impala wagon?
Re: What are the chances? Impala wagon?
Chevy needs a station wagon, being they don't have one anymore. Commodore wagons should be out this time next year. If Holden can find a way make money on the number they sell, I'd expect GM to as well.
However, I haven't seen any evidence GM-NA is intrested.

the Malibu Maxx and HHR are as close to a wagon as Chevy has. Both are cool, but not your traditional wagon like the Dodge Magnum.
If Chevy does offer an impala wagon, I really hope they offer it in SS trim to counter the Magnum SRT8

Talk about comming full cycle... Imagine that. Coupe market opens back up, main stream sedans go back RWD, and the wagon returns after being snubbed by the minivan and more carlike riding SUV's...

With Malibu Maxx going away when the new Malibu arrives, I think it'd be a good thing for Chevy to offer another wagon, and an Impala variant could work out well!

GM's only conventional wagon will probably be the Opel that Saturn will import in a few years. I miss wagons like the Country Squire, Estate Wagon, etc., even the Taurus wagon and am disappointed in the rumors about Ford dropping the Focus wagon. Crossovers and SUV's are too much for me.

I use my Tahoe like a truck. Hauling furniture, lumber, car parts, you name it. I also use it for hauling people, as its the only vehicle I own that can seat 9 adults. (Yes I have the LS with the 60/40 bench.) I drive over curbs, huge dips etc, places I'd never try to drive a station wagon. (It drives my wife nuts, "you drive this thing like a truck!" "Well, it is a truck."
) But it is also smooth on long trips to LA and back. (My mother-in-law once commented it was as comfortable as a Cadillac.
)
Yes, I use my SUV for exactly what it was intended, as a "utility" vehicle.
