Went to a dealership promotion last night

Last week in the mail, I got a flyer that was an invitation to come to a Pontiac, GMC, Buick dealer and see the Lucernce, Solstice and all the other models, plus a free oil change. I could use an oil change and plan on purchasing a new car in the next year, so my wife and I went.

That Lucerne is a NICE car. It could easily have a Cadillac badge on it. There was no pricing available yet though.

I keep trying to talk my wife into a Solstice, but she keeps telling me how impractical it is.

I have been eyeballing the Lacrosse a bit lately. My wife sat in it and like it. We sat down with a salesman and priced one out. With the 3800 and all the options, except, sunroof, chrome appearance package(yuck) and chrome wheels, it was $24,000 for a GM employee price.

That's an 06 with heated seats, factory remote start, premium sound system, leather, the works for that price? I think I will be buying a new Lacrosse within the next year.

The one thing that bothers me though is that it does not have the MP3 player jack that some of the new cars are getting, and it does not have navigation as an available option.
