I'm stunned. Aggressive pricing? Say what? When I looked at a Zephyr, I couldn't believe they wanted $10k more for it versus a well-equipped Milan (nicely done at $23k). Maybe something is in the water at Edmunds?
Or maybe the car really is pretty good?

Re: Well, they don't think Zephyr = Cimarron
Looks like a nice car, good to see another high quality domestic product. Personally, I think the output of the v-6 is too low, I am surprised they didn't go after the 250-300 hp range to compete with the other offerings in that price range.
Re: Well, they don't think Zephyr = Cimarron
I saw a Fusion yesterday, and I think that is one of the best looking sedans to come from Ford in sometime. I can't wait to see how it will perform with the new V6. The Zephyr will go the way of the Aviator.
Re: Well, they don't think Zephyr = Cimarron
The Aviator is being reintroduced in the spring, as a crossover............. and a very attractive one, I might add.
Thus, how is the Zephyr going to "go the way" of that???
The Zephyr's main competition is the Lexus ES330, and it compares very well with that car.
BTW, it looks much better in person, than in pics.

The Zephyr will get more HP from a bigger 3.5L V6 and AWD next year.
I think they should have held off selling this car until the bigger engine came out, or at least offer them all with AWD.
For some reason I think of this car as sort of the Lincoln version of the Jag X-type.

With AWD and the new 250+hp 3.5L it should be a pretty nice car actually.
I am however dissapointed with Lincoln in general. Now i know Ford has Jaguar and Volvo as their other premium luxury brands, but do they have to resort to rebadging Ford's for Lincolns???
You look across the pond at even Volvo, and you just shake your head because Volvo will now soon have an all-new S80 with AWD and a 315hp 4.4 v8. Atleast rebadge Volvo's and Jags is you're going to cheap out on Lincoln and not give them their own cars. They deserve better than rebadged Ford's (which is mercury's thing anyways).

At least Ford picked a good platform to start from. I'm not a big fan of the Fusion front end styling or the Zephyr back end styling. Everytime I see a Fusion coming toward me I'm afraid I'm going to get chopped up by the Gillette Mach 3 razor they put on there as a grille.
Overall I think they turned out to be pretty good cars, though.

Not something you'd hear on an enthusiast-based forum like this one, lol. You can never bee too stuck on hp. Honestly though, the market is hp driven. You have to keep up with the competition. Especially this day and age when certain under 30k family sedans are packing anywhere from 245-303hp.

I know there was talk on another thread the gas prices will go back down to something reasonable but personally, I don't think that will last. I drive 90 miles a day and my spending on gas has really put a big dent in my dispossable income. I don't know how much more I can stand. Give me 210HP and a lot of miles-per-gallon. I'll drive my T/A on the weekends.
