Read the rest for yourself. l'm interested in how well the coil rear suspension will actually do. Also, the oh so close to Tundra power output and getting VVT on the 5.7. Oh, and it says that there is suppose to be a 4mpg improvement over the last gen!
“Quite simply, our goal with the 2009 Dodge Ram was to make the competition sweat,” said Gilles. “We spent a lot of time rethinking the layout, functionality, feel and packaging of the interior. We also no longer have a ‘base’ interior, just higher levels of luxury throughout the series. The new interior was conceived to match the image of the exterior and drill home a new level of perceived and actual quality. Much higher grades of materials and finishes were selected throughout, culminating in the Laramie interior, which is the exclamation point on a new level of luxury for the segment. All surfaces have been carefully thought-out, as we wanted a robust feel to the interior that communicates to the owner that he is driving an extremely high quality piece of engineering.”

When I saw the exterior shot I kept thinking about what it reminded me of and then I thought "150's edge styling applied to the existing Ram"
Then I saw the interior.

Does nobody else see that as an almost direct knockoff of the F150 interior?? Wow. If you told me the same stylist at Ford designed that Ram interior I wouldn't doubt it for a second. Hell in some areas it almost looks like they're sharing from the same parts bin.
idk?? I kinda like it. a little from Ford on the design and a little on GM for the cargo boxes. and the power..well I think that will make any Tundra guy cringe when it has almost the same power and better MPG..
Looks good. I like the dual chrome tailpipes especially, a nice touch.
The interior looks nice, but it doesn't look like there is much room for your knees and legs.
The way the front grill is shaped make the Tunda and this Ram look similar.

Merely matching Toyota's power output two years later is putting something in their face?
As far as the styling goes, it's a pickup truck - there's only so much that one can do to differentiate their product from the competition. At the end of the day, all pickups are about 98% similar. I'm more concerned with the design of the underpinnings and how they work, and for this reason the new coil-spring rear suspension is fascinating (in the "everything old is new again" way, as this has been done before).

Agreed. I like the looks far better than the Tundra, and the little cubbies everywhere will be a hit with buyers. HP & MPG to boot, good stuff.
