We finally finished our Chevelle Project
Some of you may remember our Chevelle project over at Cheers and Gears at the time it was called the Skunkworks. We had to change the name to The Underground and after almost 2 years we have finally completed it. I'd really appreciate it if you folks would go take a look.
Thanks

WOW Thats all I gotta say! That is VERY high quality work. Man, can you imagine it if GM actually built most of those models and it looked real similar to that? That would be beyond great! Im only 20 and unfortunately wasnt around for the Muscle cars of yester year, but I have to say that I think there would be quite a few old enthusiasts who would look at this seriously. Not to mention alot of younger enthusiasts and of course the regular buyer with the lower models! Man, that would be simply awesome

Its not a real car they built, its a very good looking CGI and a very good website. They should prolly send the site to some GM management, give them some ideas.

Re: We finally finished our Chevelle Project
Two criticisms:
1. That's a pretty small car to wear the "Chevelle" name. Maybe that's just my perception.
2. The whole thing looks like a rebodied SN95 Mustang. The greenhouse is a direct ripoff of a Mustang. Seeing as how the SN95 debuted in 1994 and this is now 2005 and this "Chevelle" is projected for even further into the future, I don't see that the design is modern enough.
Having said all that, the pictures look great and the work is first rate, I just think it missed the mark in a couple of areas.

Cool computer work, but design wise I'm not really bowled over. I see more photoshopped Holdens and Opels in those cars.
While better than what we can get now, it's not as revolutionary or just as new as I would have expected.

On point2, no Mustang at all. All of our Chevelles are Holden V-car based. We began the project before the Zeta program was first talked about. Once Zeta was known we knew that these cars could never see the light of day on the V platform. However, it was the only GM platform we could base the project on. The concept could readily be applied to Zeta-once enough is known about it. So,yeah, it is dated but only because the V-car was all we had to work with. The ideas are what really matters.

nice work,I'd buy a el camino SS.I miss having a truck sometimes, but won't give up my V-8 RWD musclecar.I think chevy will do this in a couple of years, but I sure hope it dosen't come in as heavy as the GTO.3500lbs is as heavy as it should get.
