Washington DC Auto show....will the concept be showing?

This question could be answered by the masses, but it is obvious that Scott would be the one with a credible and direct answer.

I am looking for any possibility the the "rear drive v8" Concept will be at the Washington DC autoshow. You said in the quote above that she will be making some rounds, and I am just trying to figure out if I will have a chance to see her in person. I am sure that it probably wont show up becasue DC tends to get the stiff when it comes to the car shows for some reason. Every time I have been over the past few years, there have been mainly production vehicles rather than concepts. That being all across the board, with all manufacturers, not just GM. But I am trying to figure out if I should go this year, because the only reason I want to go is to see the Camaro.

So.... Scott, will I go and be very dissapointed at an empty space on the floor and in my chest, or will I go and have to be resussitated on the floor of the convention center? Personally, I choose the later

Thanks in advance,
Fry

The show in DC tends to be a little bit bigger than Baltimore, but I have also notice that show get the short end of the stick when it comes to concepts too. It just seems like manufacturers dont want to bring the conecpts to the area, which is weird considering the population and majority of those upper class buyers.

Nah, Baltimore definitely get's the lions share of good concepts. DC's show usually gets left out.

I'm guessing NO. The Washington show is before the Detriot show, so Washington will probably get it NEXT show.

Sucks, I hate the DC show being old crap :-(

Would anyone be able to take a guess if the concept will be at the New York Auto Show?

I will be posting (after January 9) the shows where the concept will make an appearance.

I think it's safe to say:
Chicago
Cleveland
Dallas
New York
Atlanta
............perhaps one or two more.

The Washington autoshow is the last week of January this year, 24th - 29th, and the NAIS is the 8th - 22nd. So they dont overlap and DC is actually after.

Yeah, D.C. always seems like it has "last year's" concepts. I was enjoying living near New York for a while because you always saw the newer stuff earlier.

I know this is borderline but do you have a date or general week that we can expect to find out from GM what this concept will officially be? Will we have to wait until the actual show, or will they by chance confirm weeks in advance what the concept is?

it's safe to say it won't be "officially" called a Camaro til the press preview at NAIAS. heck, even the club has started to openly call it a Camaro. i got a feeling Camaro won't come out of anyones mouth til the 9th.
