GM makes serious inroads into the affordable performance market with its thrilling 2L supercharged DOHC I-4 used in the Cobalt SS performance coupe.
Everyone forgets about the Ion Redline Its on its 4th model year.

No love for the Ion Redline. Maybe if it had a normal gauge location.

How is iron inferior, except for the weight disadvantage, iron is superior to an aluminum block in many aspects. Foremost among them is wearability, dimensional stabilty and NVH control.

In the same breath everbody condemns the 4.6 mod motors due to output, but in the BS world of bench-racing it has all the spades, next on the the food chain would be the hemi (due to cylinderheads) and the LSx engines would be on the bottom rung because they are the closest thing to yestertech out there, however truth is far different.
