Wanna see the 05 Mustang GT CONVERTIBLE...

These are the first published images I've seen.
Scanned them in from MM&FF... just for you guys!

05 GT VERT

(Please r/c and save soon, I don't want my bandwidth clobbered or memory consumed with junk so I'm gonna take it off my webpage in a few days.)

I like it OK. Not thrilled, but OK.
The long straight belt line and window bases are what don't set with my eye too well. I think it needs some curve in it or something. I guess it will grow on me.

Anyways, nice to finally see the verts coming out to play!

Actually, they are also posted on Stangnet too, but
I didn't catch them the first time... my bad!

Still, we haven't discussed it here I don't believe.
Anxious to see what this crowd thinks.

The 2005 definitely looks better as a hard top. As a convertible, it only looks good with the top down (photochops).

For once I agree completely with ProudPony.

I imagine it will look better with real paint.

If this is representative of the production item, the new 'Stang will emphasize the "rag" in rag-top. Why should the fabric sag between the roof bows? With the top up, this mule looks as bad as the current convertible.

On the other hand...

...why does the convertible top on the Beetle Cabrio look good when it's up, but like a pile of canvas when it's down. The great mystery is how every VW convertible since the original Beetle has had a high quality top, but low quality looks with the top down.

I think I like the fastback version more.

I've only seen a near-head-on picture of the '05; seeing it at another angle makes it look a little better. Not bad in those pics.
