Vote on the Car & Driver Charger rendering
Re: Vote on the Car & Driver Charger rendering
I'm not convinced.
I have heard from everyone who has seen it that it's rather sleek. It's also pointed out that the car will replace Intrepid at NASCAR. It's going to be based on the LX & have Magnum's interior, so a high beltline is a given. Chrysler also seems to have a thing for huge grilles, so that's expected.
But I don't think that C&D drawing is it.

I don't think that is what it will look like either, it's too ugly and would be a failure. Not many people would be interested in that and I don't think Dodge is that stupid.

Re: Vote on the Car & Driver Charger rendering
guion, here is an idea:
The Enforcer is suppose to go into production soo right? What if this is the Enforcer, but Chrysler is telling everyone it is the Charger to keep people from snooping around and finding the real Charger. This would not only misslead all the insiders, but make the debut of the real Charger at NAIAS that much more suprising.

Re: Vote on the Car & Driver Charger rendering
Ha... I wish Chrysler/Dodge a big stinking heapload of luck if they intend on releasing a car that looks like that one no matter what name they give it. Even if that isn't the Charger design, and is the Enforcer, not many people liked it, so maybe the Chrysler team should just flush that product design down the toilet with the rest of the bad ones
.
Whatcha wanna bet they make a convertible Magnum and call it the Sidewinder?

... wait a sec... did I just think of a good idea?

Re: Vote on the Car & Driver Charger rendering
Here some more stuff....
1) Insiders have confirmed that this is the car they've seen at Brampton.
2) Other insiders say...yes that is the car, but that's not the Charger.
3) Those who have seen the Charger, and been told it was Charger...describe a much swoopier car.
4) The SWB Coupes are coming! Will one of them be called Charger???
Whatever the coupes are called..it looks like there's going to be Dodge version and a Chrysler version. Don't know if they'll be smaller "pony car" sized or larger mid-sized.
The plot thickens....................

Re: Vote on the Car & Driver Charger rendering
Isn't that just the '99 Charger R/T front end on something else? I always liked the old Challengers better than the Chargers, much lower in height and not so big. It would be nice if Dodge would come out with a Challenger in addition to the Charger.

yeah i wasnt too happy with it either, i mean the hemi graphics kinda boosted it a little for me but other then that its crap. It was also a bad photo shop too! Nice intrepid tail lights, and body lines with just a slopier rear valance. That front end looks like crap as well. I dont mind a big grill, if you remember the original chargers were mostly grill.
I just want something that screams bad ***, and it being 4 door isnt too bad provided that it has suicide doors or that ion type of door. That would be alright, but no stick
high ride height
looks like a brick with fender flairs
I thought it would actually look better, but isnt car and driver pretty much on the money with this stuff?
