likely. I haven't seen one yet though, so I don't know anything about it

Couldn't agree more. The new Lincolns have gotten aggressive in the front fascia but the rest looks like a variation of a Buick, whereas Cadillac took an aggressive approach around the whole car.

Re: Upcoming D3 Lincoln

And here I was thinking the new new Mark would be based on the mustang GT and be a super-cool luxo coupe like the last ones...

Who's bright idea was it to turn the Mark into a sedan?

The only redeeming factor will be if it's built off of the mustang and shares motors with the GT...but it's still a sedan...I thought the whole "Mark" dealio was because it was a coupe Continental...? Or does it go farther back than I think?

Re: Upcoming D3 Lincoln

Front looks like a progression of a gen I Mark VIII and a later Continental combined. I like it.

Looks nice. Compared to the Lincoln lineup of the now minus the Zephyr...these things are wonderful.

Re: Upcoming D3 Lincoln

i like lincolns new styling progression...beats the old man town car looks of blandness. Its good to see that they have started to get more on track. To all those buick comments..your right...it is meant to be a direct competator to buick and the caddy truck market. Jag is the top of the line lux competator in the ford line up. Thats why many lincolns get a back seat in performance. Such as the S-type..shares the same platform with the LS but gets a 4.0 v8 instead of a 3.9 gets an R-version which has 390hp has a manual etc. While the LS had a minor cosmetic change and is now drive by wire.

Lincoln is now a back burner in the luxury department. It doesnt have anything over jag..and a jag enthusiast wouldnt want an SUV so thats where lincoln comes in. Sad really..what used to be lincoln vs. caddy is now caddy vs jag

Re: Upcoming D3 Lincoln

Not bad looking, but a Mark should NOT be FWD, that's lame.

Re: Upcoming D3 Lincoln

Although the D3 looks very much like an Acura from the front angle, at least it has a distinctive grille and aggressive front end appearance. The front looks good, let's take a look at the rest of the car.

IMO, the most successful designs (in a very crowded market) are the destinctive designs (aka 300C, CTS, etc...).
