I just can't see doing it to an '04......I know, I know your purpose for doing it for all that track duty, and the fact that you will be better off with it on the track. But I just can't see it unless you are making it a track only car.
Are you making your '04 a mostly just track car or will it be a daily driver?
As far as T-Tops go, thats the only thing keeping me out of a '05 GTO, for now anyway. That may all change when I drive one, later this year.

Motorcycles are a lot of fun. I've owned three streetable ones (although one was abusing that term, with only 90cc
). I sold them all. Why? They are dangerous as Hell. Many fellow motorists don't seem to see you, and others in cars simply choose not to see you, or cannot judge your speed. No matter how defensive your driving, if someone turns left in front of you - you will almost certainly suffer severe injury or death. They are simply not worth the risk.

I sold my last bike some 7 or 8 years ago (low-mileage 1985 Kawasaki ZL900 Eliminator). I simply decided not to continue taking chances riding around this rather crowded area (Hampton Roads, VA). If I were to get another bike, I'd get a Harley Dyna Wide Glide......much slower death.

Those haybusas are fast, and cheap if you want speed. But you would only be on it when its sunny, warm, and dry out side and you would be uncomfortable the whole time.
The top reason though it safety. If youre on a bike like that, your not on it to drive the speed limit, and the protective gear that you wearing wont do anything if youre going more then half the top speed of that bike.
I have a movie on my computer of a crash (the after part) but i cant find the link. A bike was going too fast, hit a car, and guess what happened. The car was totaled, peope inside it were hurt. The bike was in pices all over the road, the driver wasnt too far away laying on the ground lifeless with a helmet full of blood. That why i wouldnt want to be on a bike in an accident.
