GM probably makes more money on employee pricing with standard financing rates than 0% financing, so it's a better deal for GM, if not the consumer.
Only the Tundra and Sequoia have 0% for 60 month offers. All the cars are 0% for 36 months only.
They do have 2.9% for 60 months on the cars, which is still uncharacteristically low for Toyota, though.

My wife likes her 07' Tacoma crew cab. It makes for a good family vehicle as she says she will never drive a minivan. It also is nice for tailgating, runs to Home Depot, tows the bass boat just fine, and averages 20mpg. Plus, it has more power than the Colorado/Canyon and she could get the 4wheel drive height she wanted in a 2wheel drive (Pre Runner) which meant it was cheaper and there is less to maintain/go wrong. It is also a good medium size truck if you will, which means it is not bad for her to park.
It is actually a pretty nice truck and has been problem free for 25,000 miles so far.

I haven't seen a vehicle on Toyota's roster worth buying since they dumped the Supra and even that was grossly overpriced. I will never buy a car from a company that doesn't also make a fun weekend driver. If I buy a Cobalt or Explorer those funds help keep Chevy or Ford alive, therefore helping the Camaro or Mustang.

Every car/truck has problems, that's why you get a warranty and in this case, lease it.

Also, my '05 is only rated at 220 hp / 225 lb-ft, and I've never found it wanting for power. The '07+ 5 cylinder is a 3.7L rated at 242 hp. While still a few ticks behind the Tacoma V6, it offers a fuel economy advantage over the Toyota.

Offering 0% financing requires a source of cheap cash. I don't think GM has access to anything like that right now.
