What rank does everyone think the Malibu would be if there was no Impala?
Or if Impala drastically shifted its place in the marketplace so that it wasn't in direct competition with the Malibu? Jesus, I wish that car would've gone through...

I'm dissapointed with Malibu sales. Gm should be too, there's no reason that car shouldnt be in the top ten. With good marketing and hopefully a few awards the new equinox might be sitting right where the escape is sitting this year. I diffinitly see the seirra falling from the top 20. I notice the hhr has fallen, of they aren't going to update it maybe it should be dropped after 2010. It's been a better seller than they thought but retro is out and boxes are in.
I'm sickened by the number of imports above domestic cars. Does anyone know why Camry/Solara and Corolla/Matrix get combined? The Corolla and Matrix pairing are really not making sense to me at all!
I think the official names are Camry Solara and Corolla Matrix which is why they get included together.
However, the Matrix is the cousin of the Pontiac Vibe. It may be based on the Corolla, but that's like combining the sales of the old Astro and Blazer. It doesn't make sense...one is a 7-passenger van and the other is a 5-passenger SUV. The Matrix is kind of a quasi-crossover with a hatch, and the 'Rolla is a 4-door sedan.
The Solara is the 2-door version of the Camry. That makes a little more sense.

Nonetheless, I do think the main reason that they lump it in is to boost Corolla numbers.
I had no idea that the Matrix (and therefore the Vibe) shared so much with the Corolla. If platform-mates can share in these numbers, I would expect them to list Malibu-G6-Aura and Cobalt-G5
