The corolla is an excellent car for its class, in my opinion, the best. When they redesigned it a year or so ago, it was bigger, cheaper, and more fuel efficient than the one it replaced, and, in my opinion, it looks a lot better too. I would also take this car over a cavalier/sunfire anyday.

More like who the hell is buying Matrix's and Corollas, since i believe both are added to get that sales figure for the corolla. I believe the Matrix is based off the corolla. That probably explains the relatively high sales figure for the Corolla. The sales numbers reflect 2 models combined.

RiceEating5.0 is right the do combine the sales of both, I don't know why though, if they have differnet names then they are different models. It's like saying Chevy should combine the Silverado and Avalance, that would narrow the gap, why not throw the Tahoe and Suburban in there too.

I don't think this is the case. If it were true, they would also have to add in pontiac vibe sales, since the vibe is a rebadged and slightly restyled matrix.

damn trucks continue to sell like crazy, the big 3 gotta be loving that. obviously the camry and accord are doing well but damn how bout the taurus and the impala?? thats nuts that they've been able to hold down top 10 slots all year so far. wonder how they'll do when the futura debuts and the impy gets a restyle or redo?

Quite often manufacturers will combine sales of two related models, but only if they're under the same marque. Silverado and Sierra aren't. Matrix and Vibe aren't. But as noted above, Matrix and Corolla are both Toyotas and are combined, as are Camry and Solara (technically Camry Solara). The only time I recall GM ever doing this was with the Corsica/Beretta (both Chevrolets).
