that 572 ZL1 wouldn't happen to have been at the Georgia Dome a few weeks ago would it?

Unfortunately I've got a wedding in alabama that weekend so I won't be there until Sunday. I actually haven't been to the show in a few years. I think I will try to attend the dinner on sunday because thats about the time I will get to Altanta.

 

It's at the Marriott hotel just north of the I-285 and I-75 junction. Get off at the Windy Hill exit on 75 and you should see the hotel over the trees.

 

Yeah Right! I've seen most of that stuff at Carlislie its pretty sweet. Being a Camaro Fanatic, I have to say for anyone who doesn't like 4th gens, Moss's 572 ZL1 has got to be one of nicest ones ever. I remember all the stuff in the magazines about you'll never get a big block in these things... Next thing you know I read about John Moss with this thing. All I can say is you have to hear this thing with your own ears. It was years after reading about it, but I knew it was John stepping out of the car and he shuts it off, and hopped out so fast, I could swear that Big Block was still shakin' the front of that car. Just plain Awesome like was an animal under the hood. The later ZL1's are very similar. I love this new small block even though I don't have one ...YET! I can't wait to get my hands on one. The best thing was showing one of my buddies (At e-town a mist green ZL1 427) when we heard it, we all heard, then seen what was comin' around the corner, then the guy stoped, opened the hood then my buddy (Oh, he's a Mustang guy)saw what looked like a plain ol LS1! The expression on his face was priceless. Only thing he could say was it still looks too cluttered/hard to work on. I hope the GTO is a sign of things to come in that respect. Anyway sounds like a great time,wish I could go. Any trips to Carlisle this year maybe I'll catch you there again with all the Killer stuff? I saw you there but you look like you were crowded already so I went to look at some nice GM stuff!

what color Z06 will be there? I saw the yellow one in NYC

 

If it's a show car it will be yellow or silver. If it's an eval car it will likely be the red or black one.

I'm involved with some World Challenge teams and other racing stuff... so I apply some of that to my personal ride.

 

I just got in to Atlanta an hour ago and decided to get online to figure out where the dinner is and discovered that they don't say where it is at. So I payed 50 bucks for nothing now. Somebody will have to at least let me know what Scott has to say.

 

What happened to it being in Bowling Green? Does it change location every year or something??

The F-body Gathering has always been in Atlanta.

 

There are two "gatherings"

Atlanta over Mem Day weekend, and September in Bowling Green at the Vette plant....which originally was the 35th birthday bash, and is now referred to as a "gathering" also.
