For those who didn't like Camaro Concept- what will you buy now?
Re: For those who didn't like Camaro Concept- what will you buy now?
Used vette.
The bigger the engine they put in the Camaro, the better it will crush used vette prices which is good for me.
I think the camaro is a fine concept, and I hope it sells well, it just won't have any area where it's better then a vette for my needs. I will buy something based on absolute best performance and looks and price.
A used c6 may even price as a low as a camaro by then, it will weigh less and have near the same HP, handle better, and probably run faster stock(which it won't remain) due to power to weight ratio.

I didn't vote mustang but I can see a strong case for if it's the SC 5.4
700HP is like falling down. 850HP is like buying an ATI procharger and falling down.
As for the regular GT. Got no idea. The droppy headlights make it and me cry.

Why not? What's wrong with a mustang? It looks like the GT500 is going to kill everything else on the market.

I understand the 'reason' for a GT500 because of its fanatastic performance ,but if someone didn't like the Camaro's retro-ish looks then I would be surprise they would like the Mustang with its own retro-ish looks.
The GT500 will be great but it will also be expensive and especially when you add dealer mark-up and etc.

I like the Camaro, but if I can't have one (for whatever reason) I will be looking at a used GTO, Magnum, or C5-C6 Corvette (depending on my situation at that point). I am still hoping that the Camaro will be available before 2009 though.

Once you add dealer mark-up it's price is going to be near $50,000. So while the GT500 is nice for that price I rather have a Vette. If I was going to spend $50,000 in 2009/10 I would get a new Camaro Z28 and with the money left over I would go buy a used 2006 Pontiac Solstice and blow the rest on mods.
