Buttercup, it is RATIONAL to be nationalistic. You can boil it down to a basic survival instinct. You go as your nation goes, ask the Aztecs. They would agree with that.

 

You mean two industrial power houses have, in short term [relatively speaking], fallen under hard times due to globalization? We must not have the talent to develop product, right? That's the issue!

That is a whole other topic that books can be written on, actually, books WILL be written on. What language and library is up for grabs.

We're at some tough times. I feel a greater struggle between emotion and logic than I ever have. The sad truth is that, for the most part, we will pay for what is done, not what can be done.

As an American, gearhead, and engineer I feel a real attachment and gravity to the situation that I feel others are missing

 

if you don't like ford thats fine. what does there slightly better status in comparison with the rest of the Big three have to do with it.

I'm assuming the haters don't like Ford product and don't give a crap about the business itself.
