Think the Opel Ampera will out sell the Chevy Volt?

That is Opels version of the Chevy Volt. I don't think the Volt will do that well with $2 gasoline, could be $5 by 2011 but who knows. European customers will defiantly see some big savings since they are still in the $5+ range

Are you talking Ampera vs. U.S. Volt sales?
I really like the styling of the Volt, the Ampera in comparison looks too busy for me. I could see GM selling more of these vehicles in Europe due to the gas prices that you mention..
Remember though, the Volt will also be sold in Europe. The Ampera isn't the European Volt, just the Opel Volt
Now we need the Converj to come along!

Gasoline is already well above $2/gal here on the west coast, where the Volt would more than likely see its biggest sales figures. By 2011, assuming the economy recovers, gasoline prices should rise accordingly. FWIW, hybrids are still quite popular here, regardless of gas prices. Folks seem to be leaning toward efficient vehicles if and when they decided to purchase something.
