T-tops, Targa, or Sunroof which do you prefer?

What would you like to see on the 5th gen? I would like to see a panoramic roof like the MB 500E sport.

Targa, its something I've liked on C5's and a friends Supra. T-tops are cool but the unobstrusted view is better IMO. I know it needs more chassis regidity but its worth it.

T-tops. Having had a Ttop car and a sunroof I prefer the ttop anyday.

I'll vote targa. The Corvette made the transition from T-tops. Perhaps it will lend a more upscale image to Camaro and help the "mullet" association. Sunroof does not seem appropriate. Full glass means big $ and other compromises I'll bet.

Removing a Targa may be difficult for one person and provide a greater challenge for storage.

I'd stick with T-tops for greater rigidity and ease of use. The 4th Gen T-tops were really excellent. I'd go off on a limb and say they're the best T-tops ever on any car model. Mine held up to all but Hurricane force rain and with stood a major pounding from hail. And, yes, this is from actual experience. However there do seem to be quality issues with some cars.

Panoramic glass roof....I have too many questions about cost, weight, and durability to really endorse that idea.

T-Tops definetly. Targa is alright, but T-Tops shaped like the Third Gens' would be the nicest. Sunroof, nah. And structure rigidity should be taken into consideration too.

Hey! Where's the "None of the above" option?

I voted targa, although any of those options would alright. A sunroof would seem a bit odd, though.

I didn't give the option none of the above because there will obviously be a hard top. If I were to make a guess I don't think there will be a t-top or targa available because the Camaro will most likely be sharing the next gen GTO platform. That is why I put the sunroof option. I don't know how many of you read Motor Trend in the current issue there are some sketches of what could be the next GTO. In those sketches one of the two schemes shows a full glass top. I know a glass top weighs a ton but IMO it would be a pretty good feature. A buddy of mine just bought an 03 500E sport and from sitting in the back seat that panoramic roof looks awsome.

Lightbulb T-Tops for me.

One thing I would do different is the bar in the middle of the roof - return to the clean style of the 2nd gens.

The Vettes get full frames, so rigidity w/ the targa top would not be the same issue as w/ the F body.

Sunroofs have never done anything for me.

what about splitting the targa into to pieces to make it easier to come out for one person then storage wouldnt be a prob make one side have 2 locks to hold it in place and slpi into the side that has 4 locks and a support brace in it

Either a Targa or T-tops, I don't care. Both have their atvantages. T-tops are easier for one person to take out, but Targa gives you more open air and looks a little bit cooler IMO.

Targa!

Targa looks a lot cooler and I don't think its extra difficulty should negate its availability. People in America arent getting that lazy are they?

Targa also just has a more exotic flare to it. I guess I'm just biased.

Does anyone know where that picture is of the 4th gen is whos owner converted it to a targa top? It looked awesome.

Owning one with a sunroof and one with t's, I gotta vote for T's. When they're off, soooo much more air and sun than a moonroof.

BUT...

It would be nice to have a sunroof option, if possible. A sunroof is sooo much more useful. One button does it all, plus if it starts to rain (or looks like it may rain), its WAY easier to take care of! And I think we can all appreciate that, eh??
