2-3
3. Do you ever use your f-body for grocery or other shopping?
Yes
4. Do you use your f-body more as a family car or more as your toy?
Family Car
5. About how many hundred/thousand miles do you put on your f-body every year?
~20,000
6. Is your f-body your only car? If not, what is your other car(s)?
99 Expedition EB
7. Give only ONE or TWO short reasons for buying each of your cars (or just f-body if it is your only car).
Camaro - Always had one, always will have one!
Expedition - Husbands Choice, his daily driver, used for towing, and for commuting in the snow. (Camaro does not go out when it's snowing)
8. On the 5th gen; hatchback or trunk?
I prefer the hatchback, but I think a trunk would be ok too.
9. On the 5th gen; aerodynamic like 4th gen or brick like CTS (or, if you rather, brick like most 1st gen based concepts)?
I love the 4th gen look, and the CTS looks good too, but I think as long as it looks like a Camaro should look, then I think whatever. Bring it out and make it look irresistable.
10. If there were a version of the 5th gen that was only a 2 seater, would you likely buy it instead of a Corvette or 4-seat Camaro?
It would definitely have to be a 4 seater.
11. I am completely satisfied with my 4th gen the way it is, but improvement is always needed, especially for others, and obviously it will have to appeal to other buyers. But I definitely think that options should be options and not packages, because some of us may not be interested in alot of those things but maybe a few of those options.

Re: Survey: What do you use your F-body for?
To everyone who keeps saying "no no no" to things like heated seats and dual climate and such... keep in mind that most people LIKE this stuff, GM makes MONEY on the options, and these things are FANTASTIC for people who actually DRIVE the cars on a daily basis.
Ya, it's a sports car... so what? I drive it in the winter... I like heated seats.
Ya, it's a sports car... so what? When I take my wife with me, she's always cranking up the heat. Dual-Zone climate control allows us BOTH to be comfortable!
Ya, it's a sports car... so what? If I get in a wreck, I'd like to have OnStar there to help save my life.
(I could go on...)

Re: Survey: What do you use your F-body for?
My answers:
1. Weekend fun car/Car shows
2. Two
3. Sometimes; rarely though
4. Toy
5. 3,000-5,000 miles a year
6. No; Winter beater is a 88' Chevy Caprice 65,000 miles
7. Bought my 2002 Firehawk since it was the last year of production; sold my 2000 WS6 in place of it. Grandfather gave me my winter beater which is a 1988 Chevy Caprice.
8. Depends what it look's like; either or though I like my current hatchback.
9. Aerodynamic like 4th gen with some brick.
10. 2 seater is okay; but alway's nice to some extra seats/space.
11. Would like to see some stuff like this for sure. TIme for GM to step up with some of these great things in the new F-bod.

3. no
4. toy
5. 1500 miles
6. have three cars, 04 Pontiac Grand Prix GT (wife's car), 98 Chevy Camaro z28, and my daily driver a 98 Hyundai Elantra.
7. 94 Chevy Camaro v6, liked the way it looked, had racing stripes.
98 Chevy Camaro z28, because I was hungry for more power than the
v6could give. And the modifying potential was greater.
8. hatchback
9. aerodynamic
10. nope
11. I want a low tech 5th gen with just a shifter, headlight switch, air conditioner, and etc like the 4th gens?

Re: Survey: What do you use your F-body for?
Sold my F-body fairly recently, but I would seriously consider another RWD 2+2, be it a Camaro, GTO, or Mustang.
1. What do you use your f-body for? All three, everyday driver, weekend fun car, track days ... not a serious race car though.
2. How many people do you normally have in the car counting yourself? [1/2/3/4], 1 or 2, sometimes 3.
3. Do you ever use your f-body for grocery or other shopping? yes, quite often.
4. Do you use your f-body more as a family car or more as your toy? more family I suppose than toy.
5. About how many hundred/thousand miles do you put on your f-body every year? 15,000
6. Is your f-body your only car? If not, what is your other car(s)? No, Nissan Xterra.
7. Give only ONE or TWO short reasons for buying each of your cars (or just f-body if it is your only car). I'm a car junkie with a family. My car primarily gets me to work, but used for weekend fun, dates with my wife, and occasional track days.
8. On the 5th gen; hatchback or trunk? Trunk would be preferred for safety reasons in a crash. Needs to be bigger than the GTO trunk, enough room for a weekend's worth of luggage. I don't like travelling with a bunch of stuff in the back seats.
9. On the 5th gen; aerodynamic like 4th gen or brick like CTS (or, if you rather, brick like most 1st gen based concepts)? Not a brick, but not as low-slung either. The GTO feels good, but the price point is too high and the trunk too small. The new Mustang feels good too, but it needs about 4 more inches of leg room in the back seats.
10. If there were a version of the 5th gen that was only a 2 seater, would you likely buy it instead of a Corvette or 4-seat Camaro? No.
11. Would you be interested in optional equipment like paddle shifters, GPS navigation, heated seats, dual climate controls, or any other comfort/entertainment items that were not offered on the 4th gens? Or do you just want a low tech 5th gen with just a shifter, headlight switch, air conditioner, and etc like the 4th gens? Fairly basic options, PW, PL, Cruise, Tilt, etc ... but better shifter, better seats. The GTO seats are very nice.

Re: Survey: What do you use your F-body for?
1. What do you use your f-body for? weekend fun car
2. How many people do you normally have in the car counting yourself? 90% of the time just me otherwise one other person
3. Do you ever use your f-body for grocery or other shopping? yes
4. Do you use your f-body more as a family car or more as your toy? TOY
5. About how many hundred/thousand miles do you put on your f-body every year? 5000-8000 miles
6. Is your f-body your only car? If not, what is your other car(s)? 92 honda accord
7. Give only ONE or TWO short reasons for buying each of your cars (or just f-body if it is your only car). SS, I wanted a fun toy car. I love the looks, power and price of it. My Accord, I needed a car that got good gas mileage, cheap to maintain, cheap insurance.
8. On the 5th gen; hatchback or trunk? Hatch
9. On the 5th gen; aerodynamic like 4th gen or brick like CTS (or, if you rather, brick like most 1st gen based concepts)?
I DO NOT WANT retro. I want a progression of change as every Generation has done. I'd rather have a curvey aerodynamic styling than the 'brick' and 'sharp edge' styling of Cadillac and the c6.
10. If there were a version of the 5th gen that was only a 2 seater, would you likely buy it instead of a Corvette or 4-seat Camaro?
Camaro is 4 seat, even if the back seat is useless.
Corvette is the 2 seater.

I am not interested in any of those luxury options.
The options on the 4th were great, there should be a long list of options so everyone can get what they want.
2. How many people do you normally have in the car counting yourself? 90% of the time just me otherwise one other person

7. Give only ONE or TWO short reasons for buying each of your cars (or just f-body if it is your only car).
8. On the 5th gen; hatchback or trunk?
9. On the 5th gen; aerodynamic like 4th gen or brick like CTS (or, if you rather, brick like most 1st gen based concepts)?
10. If there were a version of the 5th gen that was only a 2 seater, would you likely buy it instead of a Corvette or 4-seat Camaro?
If anybody would like to, answer these questions in a reply:
1. What do you use your f-body for? [everyday driver/weekend fun car/ race car]
2. How many people do you normally have in the car counting yourself? [1/2/3/4]
3. Do you ever use your f-body for grocery or other shopping? [yes/no]
4. Do you use your f-body more as a family car or more as your toy?

2. 1 (myself) sometimes 2
3. yes
4. toy
5. 8-10,000
6. No, 69 Camaro, 03 WRX, 68 Camaro (basket case; project that is on hold), 94 T/A
7. Easy, of course the 1st gens for obvious reasons and the others for daily transportation and fun.
8. Dosent matter to me; I can use either everyday and not think twice about it.
9. As long as it looks good and can be identified as a Camaro (not like most cars I see on the road; of course there are exceptions to this) I can make it go fast.
10. Camaros were never 2 seaters (leave that to the Corvette guys)
11. Maybe paddles but none of the extras appeal to me. If I could I would get one without A/C or power (i.e. windows, locks, etc.)
My perception of the Camaro is not a luxury car (which I think all the added comforts were originally created for). The Camaro was a car that a guy/gal could buy to drive on an everyday basis and still take to the track (drag or auto-xing) on the weekends. To me if the Camaro does not hold true to this form then GM has forgotten about their history and allure of the Camaro. This is just my $0.02 and I am sure not everyone will agree and I understand that.
Re: Survey: What do you use your F-body for?

10. Camaro and 2 seater do not go together. Corvette
11. I don't care for lots of gizmos--they cost alot of money!

Re: Survey: What do you use your F-body for?
1. What do you use your f-body for? [everyday driver/weekend fun car/ race car]
Weekend fun car (and another project Camaro that may be a race car one day in the distant future)
2. How many people do you normally have in the car counting yourself? [1/2/3/4]
1
3. Do you ever use your f-body for grocery or other shopping? [yes/no]
Yes, groceries on a nice day.
4. Do you use your f-body more as a family car or more as your toy?
Toy, definitely
5. About how many hundred/thousand miles do you put on your f-body every year?
Probably around 1000-2000 miles
6. Is your f-body your only car? If not, what is your other car(s)?
1994 Taurus is the daily driver
7. Give only ONE or TWO short reasons for buying each of your cars (or just f-body if it is your only car).
Taurus: Cheap, decent interior, roomy
Camaro: It was black, loud and fast
Project Camaro: It was my first 'real' car
8. On the 5th gen; hatchback or trunk?
Hatchback
9. On the 5th gen; aerodynamic like 4th gen or brick like CTS (or, if you rather, brick like most 1st gen based concepts)?
Aero but more like the second gen style of aero.
10. If there were a version of the 5th gen that was only a 2 seater, would you likely buy it instead of a Corvette or 4-seat Camaro?
Depends on what it looks like. Most likely if it looked good, weight less and cost less than a comparable four seater.

Paddle shifters would be nice, not interested in the luxury car angle though.
