Supercharged LS2 in a Cadillac STS SE

Looks like gm is experimenting with supercharging the LS2. I wonder if a certain engine could find its way "detuned" in a certain new car comming out soon?

I bet we might see this in a Silverado SS supercharged as well....................Though I like the idea of this engine in a certain chevy. Since Ford loves to blow their engines and put them in Mustangs I find it to be a good match and beat Ford at their own power adder game with a pony car powered by a supercharged LS2.

Maybe a proper send off for the 06 GTO? GM is going to Screw the Goat.... twice... I hope its a twin screw like the upcoming Mustang GT500 and ford GT(40)

The GT500 will not be getting the twin-screw . Ford said they couldn't secure enough twin-screws for production and will revert back to the roots style due to availability.

I think a S/c'd Ls2 is a longshot. It's something i'd loved to see, but i don't see GM going that route. If anything, we might see a slightly detuned Ls7 in a caddy or GM product other than the z06.

I HIGHLY doubt that the 06 GTO would get a sendoff like that. It would need to be re-certified for that engine and wouldn't be altogether profitable really on a 20k a year car.

These cars are amazing, but I'd abandon ship before the warranty dries up, experimenting with all these new options!

Makes me wonder what engine a certain concept will have at the NAIAS in January.

I bet GM could make some serious money selling blower ready and blower equipped LS2 crate motors. I'd love to pick up a LS2 with 9.0 CR forged pistons for my TA.

Sounds like a good motor for the next generation Silverado SS or Trailblazer SS. Maybe even down the road in som retro inspired cars

Since Tahoe pretty much confirmed this a while ago at GMI, I would expect you have read his postings, I would say the SC LS2 has been running around a while now.
