The only announced car on this chassis is the 2007 GTO. But, it definately won't be the only car built off it (GM has to make a few different cars off it to make it worthwhile).
Maybe their going to try to sell 500,000 GTO's a year?

I'm sure they won't have to sell that many. Solstice's platform has to sell 250,000 worldwide to be worthwhile (at around $20K), so I'm guseeing this performance platform will have to run no less than half that (assuming Cadillac also is a part of this).

Don't take it as godspell because I'm just taking a wild guess here.

That is what I'm going to do next summer. I'm buying a 2000-01 Impala and I'm taking a SC3800 from a 99 GTP (that my bosses wife just wrecked, so he told me he'd sell me all I need for the swap) and I'll drop it in there and I'll be happy. But I think the total price for the mods you just wrote down are together around 300 dollars. The GTP's are suppose to run high 14's stock arn't they? But from what I hear with those mods you typed should get you an additonal 30-40 HP at the flywheel.

I had a 99 GTP it ran 14.49 @ 96MPH w 2.02 60ft time (70 degrees) with no mods. With the CAI it ran 14.3 same MPH. Then I got rid of it. But my buddy has a 2000 GTP with just the pulley and a K & N drop in he ran a 13.9. THen he added the CAI and it ran a 13.7 @ 100MPH and 1.9 60ft with the stock (bald) Eagle RSA's. He just got the computer reprogrammed and new tires so he'll probably run @ least a 13.4 now. Those cars are real sensitive to tempurature (so dont't expext record times on a 100 degree day), and if you don't get a perfect launch you'll run bad times. Tip: ice down the supercharger and feather the throttle at launch that will give you the best results ( I was running better times with my car stock than people with pulley's, exhaust, CAI, ect.).

Thanks man, I'll remember that for when I start taking it to the track. I didn't know that it was real sensitive to the temp, but I do now.
