I demand 500 plus horsepower, regardless of weight.

I prefer a road course carver, even if it means giving the GT500 horsepower bragging rights.

I want to keep my fantasy that a 500+ hp 4 seater Camaro should & will weigh 3200 pounds

Super Camaro. Heavy drag racer or modest weight track carver.
Just had to fix the disparity there, since you were going for extremes. If you guys would beg for a shorter wheelbase and a narrower track, you could get a nice light and stiff chassis, make it with super steel and you would probably be into the low 3k weight area, but you'd be right back to that thing called an engine in a box. Which appeals to the enthusiast, but does little to engender it to fat people with fat wallets.

Ummm... yes. Nationally and locally. 120+ runs each of the last two seasons.
Here is a picture of the extremely rare Hard Cornering Camaro (Fbodica Lateralus Gforcemaximus). This unusual creature was photographed in its native habitat only last Sunday.

Why do so many of our own people think these cars are supposed to be drag race only toys? Hell, I'm 35 and I grew up thinking these things WERE SUPPOSED TO BURN CORNERS.
I'm pretty sure if GM built the camaro the way all of "us" wanted it..... It would be a 3400lb 450hp+ G machine with a rearend that you could throw some DR's on it and not explode it. It would also probably cost like 45grand and you might as well buy a vette.
There's a good, noticeable difference between my 250 hp 3300 lb thirdgen being thrown around and my 400 hp 3750 lb GTO... I've autox'ed both quite a few times.
I think if they can find a sweet spot on the weight somewhere in the middle, with just a tad more HP than the Goat, it's going to be a really, really fun car.

I prefer the pre-'98's recessed headlight look over the aero-dramatic lights of the post 97s (even though those lights cost 4 times what regular lights cost).
I also occasionally take the B4C out for a "spin". Those tires on your ride are pretty wide. What kind of meats are you running?
